Background

36 year professional automotive repair technician.

Grew up working on cars through high school as a hobby, especially enjoyed working on and building classic hot rods. Trained and worked his way up as a Master Technician and eventually Manager at a Chevron repair station in Anaheim, Ca. He worked at that station for 20 years.

Mike then worked at an independent repair shop in Newport Beach, Ca. for 9 years where he gained experience diagnosing and repairing European Vehicles.

Personal Life

Mike has been happily married for 20yrs to Stephanie Blay, they have 3 Sons, and 5 Grandchildren. Mike enjoys playing Golf, building custom golf clubs, performance modifying and driving his 04’ Ford Mustang Convertible.

Angelo Da Massa

Drivability, computer diagnostics, and general repair on German vehicles. Front end and brake work on all types of vehicles. Medium/Heavy truck repair. Custom fabrication work & welding.

Background

33 year professional automotive repair technician.

Grew up working for his father at the family owned repair shop in Arcata, California where he performed custom fabrication, body work, exhaust work, and general repair for 10 years.

Angelo moved to Southern California after his father retired. He has worked for independent repair shops in the Orange County area performing front end, suspension, brake, and general repair work. Angelo then moved on to Chino Airport, where he performed general maintenance and repair work on small aircraft for 3 years. Before coming to work for Freek’s Garage, Angelo worked at an independent repair shop in Newport Beach, Ca. where he specialized in diagnosing and repairing German vehicles.

Personal Life

Angelo enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, and most other outdoor activities. He competes in freshwater Bass fishing competitions and loves to teach others about the sport.

Edmundo Caballero

Specialties

Edmundo is an excellent handy man and parts driver. He maintains our facility wonderfully and keeps the place clean and in good working order. Edmundo picks up and delvers parts and provides timely drop off and pick up for any of our customers. He has a charming personality and our customers find him enjoyable to chat with during their rides to and from the shop. He practically has the map of North Orange County engraved into his mind, he knows all of the short cuts and can get the needed parts to our technicians on time. Edmundo also has an excellent driving record. Edmundo is a Jack-Of-All-Trades, with skills in computers, plumbing, welding, mechanics, facility maintenance, and janitorial. Edmundo is bi-lingual speaking both Spanish and English fluently.

Background

Edmundo was born in Cera de Pasco, Peru and immigrated to California in 1985. He graduated from Daniel A. Carrion University in 1983 with his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and his Masters two years later. He has worked many different jobs before settling in at Freek’s in 1999. Edmundo has done everything from teaching high school in Peru, to being a musician in America. Now that he has found a home here at Freek’s he is able to draw upon his eclectic background to help grow our company.

Personal Life

Edmundo is happily married to his wife, Zenovia of 36 years. Edmundo and his wife have raised two daughters, Cecilia and Christina, all of whom have found careers in the medical profession. Edmundo enjoys close involvement with his church and participates in many community activities. He loves reading and learning about new subjects whenever possible.
